Scholarship applications for current QND students are available now. Applications can be printed off, completed, and delivered to the Foundation office. Applications are also available for students to pick up in the Guidance office.
All scholarship applications are due back to the Foundation office (except Town & Country Bank Midwest Scholarship) no later than March 3, 2017.
For Current Seniors to be used for college:
Raider Pride Award Presented in Memory of Roy Klues and Family, Dorothy Schlipman Memorial Scholarship, and Town & Country Bank Midwest Scholarship
Raider Pride Award Presented in Memory of Roy Klues and Family
Two of the strongest supporters of Quincy Notre Dame High School were Roy & Verda Klues. Their son, Mr. Jack Klues, an alumnus of QND, wishes to honor his parents for providing Catholic secondary education for him and to honor his parents for being devoted fans of anything connected with QND.
Mr. Klues will provide two (2) $5,000 scholarships, one for a graduating young lady and one for a graduating young man. This money is to be used for educational endeavors after graduation from Quincy Notre Dame.
The focus of this scholarship is to honor two graduates who possess exceptional school loyalty, exhibit involvement in extracurricular activities, and attend a variety of QND activities. The two recipients should be considered true fans of all things involving the QND Raiders.
Dorothy Schlipman Memorial Scholarship
This $200 scholarship is presented in memory of Dorothy Schlipman by her family. A permanent plaque will be kept in the school and each recipient’s name and date will be inscribed on it each year.
Criteria: Consideration given to any college bound senior who has demonstrated school spirit, strong moral character, outgoing personality, friendly demeanor, and admiration from peers. These attributes best exemplified Dorothy Schlipman.
Town & Country Bank Midwest Scholarship
This $500 scholarship is presented by Town & Country Bank Midwest to assist one senior towards college.
Criteria: Consideration given to any college bound senior. Special emphasis put on extracurricular involvement, leadership positions, awards and honors. This scholarship requires an application and an essay.

For Current Juniors to be used for QND tuition:
Thomas E. McElyea Scholarship, Dittmeyer-McElyea Scholarship, and John A. Spring Award for Excellence Presented by the Western Catholic Union
Thomas E. McElyea Scholarship
Thomas E. McElyea graduated with the CBHS Class of 1968, received BS Mechanical Engineering degree from University of Missouri-Rolla (Missouri School of Science and Technology) and received Master of Engineering degree from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. After a 41-year career as Licensed Engineer in Texas and Louisiana, Mr. McElyea retired from Sid Richardson Carbon and Energy Company as Director of Engineering. One $2,785 scholarship will be awarded.
Preference shall be given to students pursuing coursework for a college science major.
This scholarship is a memorial to Edward J. and Celia (Lammers) Dittmeyer; their children Celia K. (Dittmeyer) Aull, Judge Edward B. Dittmeyer and Mrs. John (Joyce B. Dittmeyer) McElyea; and their grandson Thomas E. McElyea. One $2,785 scholarship will be awarded.
This scholarship is given to students pursuing coursework for a college engineering major.
John A. Spring Award for Excellence Presented by the Western Catholic Union
This award is to be used for tuition cost at Quincy Notre Dame High School for his or her senior year. The purpose of the award is to recognize the behavioral, educational, and leadership skills that best exemplify the Catholic educational values that have been developed and supported through the leadership of long-time QND Development Executive Director, Mr. John Spring. One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded.
For Current Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors to be used for QND tuition:
Mark A. Bocke Scholarship and Kyle David Russell Scholarship
Mark A. Bocke Scholarship
The intent of the Mark A. Bocke Scholarship is to assist one QND student each year with financial need. Recipients are to exhibit the joyful and active spirit of Mark and the pride he held for his friends, his activities and Quincy Notre Dame High School. One $950 scholarship will be awarded.
Kyle David Russell Scholarship
The scholarship was set up to memorialize Kyle in a way that would allow future QND students to benefit from Kyle’s memory. Kyle was a 2004 graduate of QND and served as co-captain on the boys’ soccer team. Kyle lost a courageous battle with leukemia in December 2009.
Criteria for consideration for this scholarship include but are not limited to school spirit, a strong moral character, and someone who is always willing to listen and help anyone just as Kyle did.
One $325 scholarship will be awarded.
