1st season at QND

 

Last season, the Lady Raiders went 10-2 in dual matches after going 10-4 in 2012. A highlight of the 2013 season was a second-place finish in the Chatham Glenwood Invitational.

This season will start on Aug. 25 with a home match against Palmyra. Six matches will be played in Quincy, including matches against Quincy High School on Sept. 15 and Oct. 6.

Five seniors were on last season’s roster but there are several underclass players who saw playing time. The Lady Raiders wrapped up last season by winning their final six dual matches.

Abby Moore and Olivia Tracy qualified for the IHSA State Tournament in doubles where they won 2 matches and lost 2 matches.

Home matches are played at Reservoir Park, 24th and Chestnut, Quincy, IL. Directions:

From Illinois and St. Louis area

  • Take Interstate 172 to Quincy’s Broadway exit. Turn west on Broadway and go 2 1/2 miles to 24th Street.
  • Turn right on 24th Street and go six blocks to the first stop light which is Chestnut Street. The courts will be on the left side of 24th Street, on the northwest corner of 24th and Chestnut.

From Northeast Missouri

  • Take Highway 24 east across the Mississippi River. At the first stop light, turn left on 4th Street. Take 4th Street four blocks to Broadway. Turn right on Broadway and go to 24th Street.
  • Turn left on 24th Street and go six blocks to the first stop light which is Chestnut Street. The courts will be on the left side of 24th Street, on the northwest corner of 24th and Chestnut.
