Quincy Notre Dame did an excellent job preparing me for college. All of my teachers challenged me to grow in wisdom and faith. I am so blessed to have been able to receive a diploma from QND. My time spent in the classroom, in the library, in sports, in extracurricular activities, and interacting with the faculty, staff, and administrators shaped me into the person I am today and will continue to do so throughout my life. I feel confident and prepared for whatever comes my way in college, and I have QND to thank for that confidence. I can say without a doubt QND made me a more faith-filled person. I, as well as many others, woke up early nearly every morning during Lent this past year in order to celebrate the Eucharist. That is a wonderful example of how QND students seize chances to grow spiritually. The size of QND is perfect; it is easy to make friends and maintain relationships with many people of all ages. Going to games, interacting with friends between classes, and becoming involved in various activities, like I did, are great ways to have fun and get as much out of QND socially as one possibly can. I will always have fond, unforgettable memories of my four years at QND, and I truly hope my future children will be able to experience QND as well. I want to sincerely thank everyone associated with QND for making my QND experience incredible and deeply fulfilling educationally, socially, and spiritually. ~ Anthony Rittof
Quincy Notre Dame has provided a stellar learning environment as well as spiritual guidance through the important high school years. By taking advanced placement and dual credit courses, I had a taste of what college is like before even starting my college career at Drake University. The teachers in all courses challenge every student in order to prepare him/her for the following years in college. Personally, I see QND as a college and professional preparatory school. QND not only gives one the background for college, but it engages one in the community. This engagement creates the beginning steps one needs for a future professional career. Quincy Notre Dame guides students in the direction of successful college and professional careers. ~ Morgan McPherson
QND gave me the tools I needed to reach my goal of going to West Point. During high school, I was challenged in the classroom, as well as on the football field and wrestling mat. All of those experiences are helping me now at West Point. At QND we were also challenged to grow in our faith which brings hope during those difficult times. ~ Matt Hugenberg
Quincy Notre Dame was not just a high school to me. It was a place to learn, make friends, and simply enjoy life. I am incredibly thankful for my time at QND, and I realize how it will help me throughout my college experience. Expectations are high in college, and QND is the place I developed the work ethic it takes to succeed in college courses. QND also taught me to have a strong social and spiritual life. If not for the last four years, I would not have discovered the ability to interact and connect with others. College is all about meeting new people and becoming a well-rounded person. With a good foundation, such as Quincy Notre Dame High School, I believe anyone can become well-rounded and successful in life. ~ Kelsey Ley
When most people think of Quincy Notre Dame, they think wild sporting events, fund raising get-togethers, and certain students and staff who have left impressions in their minds. To me though, QND has played a much more important role in my life. I can honestly say that I owe who I am right now to QND. I will start with academics. Mrs. Lask’s English class, for example, has helped me develop my speaking and writings skills more than I ever could have imagined, and I am just now realizing it starting my second week of college. Also, while I am singing in the choir here at South East Missouri State University, most other people in my section are struggling though the phrase, wondering what notes to sing next. Not me though. I owe this all to Mrs. Scholz. Besides the academic and fine arts aspect, there is also a spiritual aspect of QND which I am positive I could have gotten nowhere else. There is an unseen connection between the teachers and all of the students. This connection is made through the faith that we all share. Lastly, the aspect of QND that has shaped me the most is the friends I have made and relationships that I have achieved at QND. QND students and faculty are simply one of a kind. There is a certain friendliness, classiness and down to earth quality that everyone possesses at QND that cannot be found elsewhere. ~ Adam Scholz
