Bill Siebers ’89 & Theresa Oakley ’79, Co-Chairpersons
“Together We Ensure What’s Really Important”
Quincy Notre Dame, as a Catholic co-educational school, seeks to build a community of learners among its faculty, staff, students and parents. Founded on faith in God and trust among its members, this community strives to make Catholic values an integral part of its existence. Quincy Notre Dame fosters an environment of consideration and acceptance, while challenging its members to develop their potential through strong educational and extra-curricular programs. Quincy Notre Dame strives to prepare its students to assume vital Christian roles in a constantly changing world.
Quincy Notre Dame is about to renew this challenge as it kicks-off the 2010 Annual Fund Campaign with a goal of $392,000. The challenge is nothing new to QND, celebrating its 33rd year for the annual campaign. Each year, new chairpersons take up the fundraising challenge to invest in future leaders of the community. This year, Bill Siebers and Theresa Oakley are joining fifty-four others who previously have donated leadership to the campaign as general chairpersons.
The business phase of the campaign, which has four divisions, runs for six weeks starting with the kickoff breakfast on January 22nd. During this time volunteers will be calling on businesses and local organizations to ask for their support to the Annual Fund Drive.
The parish phase titled “QND Commitment Sunday” will be held Sunday, March 7th in all the area parishes. The national alumni campaign will run through the month of April which entails QND alumni contacting classmates throughout the country asking for support to the fund drive. Finally, the annual phon-a-thon directed to out-of-town alumni takes place May 1st – 13th.
As a Catholic institution of secondary education, Quincy Notre Dame relies heavily on private support. During the past thirty-two years, this support has been outstanding. The Annual Fund Campaign has raised nearly $9.4 million.
The current educational cost per pupil for 2009-10 is $5,680. Parent cost (tuition) for the year is $4,700. QND presently has 411 students.
