Goal Announcement 2007QND ANNUAL FUND EXCEEDS GOAL
During an appreciation gathering honoring Quincy Notre Dame High School Annual Fund volunteers and donors held May29, 2007 QND Annual Fund Drive Co-Chairs and alumni Mike McCaughey ’81 and Dave Rakers ‘80, announced that the annual drive raised $401,708.02 in gifts and pledges exceeding its goal by $29,708.02. The Annual Fund program, directed by the QND Foundation, raises funds to help keep tuition affordable by paying a portion of the school’s operating costs to close the gap between the cost to educate and student tuition. During the 2006-07 school year, the cost to educate one student was $4,744, and QND tuition charges were $4,095. The campaign also provides financial assistance above and beyond bridging the gap between the cost to educate and tuition costs. The QND Foundation has raised over $9 million in the past 30 years of annual drives. The fundraising effort began with every member of QND’s boards, administration, faculty and staff pledging support to the drive to show the school’s commitment to current and future students.
