Student Council

The Quincy Notre Dame Student Council, whose motto is "Improving Student Life", is the governing organization of the student body. The Council consists of five executive board members (president, vice-president, recording secretary, corresponding secretary and treasurer), in addition to the officers of each class, and six representatives from each class.

The major fund-raiser for the Student Council is the Fall Magazine Drive. This provides money for the Council to run all Homecoming events, and join the Illinois Association of Student Councils and the Illinois Valley Division of Student Councils, which provide leadership workshops and conventions for their member schools. In addition, the Council provides services such as Teacher Appreciation Day, Raider Pride Week, and sports' assemblies. The Council sponsors dances, raises food for the community food drives, helps the Knights of Columbus with their mass for the shut-ins, and helps with Catholic Schools Week.
