Dear Parents,
I sincerely hope each and every one of you enjoyed a summer of peace, relaxation, family, and God’s blessings. This school year promises to be a great one. We just learned from the ACT testing corporation that our ACT scores for the 2011 Graduating Class — every subject and the composite—are up! The average composite score went up a whole point from 22.1 – 23.1. The National average is 21.1 and the State average is 20.9. What a credit to our teachers and counselors! What a credit to our present seniors who took the ACT this past spring! This will be an outstanding academic catalyst for continued growth in all educational endeavors at QND.
During the summer I had the privilege of not only meeting present students, parents, stepparents, and guardians, but also new members of the QND Family. To say the least, I am very proud of their commitment to the school, their devotion to and love of their children, and their desire to see their children experience the best high school life possible.
I welcome all of you to become involved in all facets of QND. You are always welcome at school. Please contact Mrs. Lori Shepard, Assistant Principal and Dean of Women, and me, Ray Heilmann, Principal and Dean of Men, at any time. Our number is 223-2479. We may not have the answers to all questions right at that time, but we will find the answer and get back to you as quickly as possible.
May this be a school year of spiritual, academic, social, and physical growth for every student. Please remember that Raider Pride goes way beyond athletic endeavors. It means family, acceptance of everyone, adherence to high standards, and doing the right thing at all times.
God bless you and your children.
Sincerely,
Ray Heilmann, Principal of QND
