Adam Scholz is a recipient of the Quincy Symphony Orchestra "Encore" Summer Music Camp Scholarship. He will attend the Illinois Summer Youth Music Camp at the U of I for trombone.
Brooke Burgess is an Illinois Level III Semi-Finalist for Letters About Literature, a contest sponsored by the state of Illinois.
State Street Bank Essay Contest:
1st place: Celeste Niemann ($300 toward a new savings or checking account at State Street Bank)
2nd place: Olivia Shepard ($200 toward a new savings or checking account at State Street Bank)
3rd place: Brooke Burgess ($100 toward a new savings or checking account at State Street Bank)
JWCC Student Art Exhibit held during February and March: Kristopher Jochem and Zak Haubrich
Nichelle Jacobs, Alysha Hagarty, Amanda Arns, and Olivia Shepard, and Kristopher Jochem were honored to have pieces of their art selected to be in a juried art show sponsored by the Quincy Art Center. Alysha Hagarty won an award for her oil pastel painting titled “Glorious Fruit.”
QND senior David Musholt has become the 19th QND appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point.

QND Quiz Bowl placed 2nd at the Illinois Masonic Academic Bowl held Saturday, February 20, at Macomb High School in Macomb, Ill.
QND junior Matt Hugenberg won 4th in the State Heavy Weight Wrestling Tournament.
Quincy Notre Dame Girls Basketball team placed 2nd in the Illinois Class 2A State Tournament.
QND senior Zach Reichert has signed with United States Military Academy at West Point to play football. He will be the 18th QND graduate to attend West Point.

Girl’s Basketball player Karlee Gengenbacher was recently named the Quincy Herald-Whig “Player of the Year.” QND ‘s all-time leading scorer was also named 1st team All-State by the Associated Press, Illinois Basketball Coaches Association and Chicago Sun Times.
