The Quincy Notre Dame High School Chorus is an organization dedicated to the highest level of musicianship attainable. We exist in the desire to develop a useful understanding of music as a creative art and to display our knowledge in various public venues.
The following is a list of the major events we are involved each year:
We also perform at numerous churches, schools, and social events throughout the school year. Check out our other pages for more details on upcoming events. The choral program at QND is made up of four organizations:
The Mixed Chorus is our largest choral group. It consists of students in grades 9-12 with all levels of experience. The group places an emphasis on the fundamentals of music and singing and performs at all our major events. Mixed Chorus meets during the school day. Concert Chorale is our "select" chorus. Members of this group are in grades 10-12 and audition each spring before being selected. This group performs at all major choral events and many smaller events in and around Quincy. Concert Chorale meets during the school day. The Girl's Show Choir is also an audition only organization. This group of female voices performs all around town throughout the school year and incorporates movement and singing skills. Show Choir meets after school hours. The "Jackson Street" ensemble is a very small group of singers chosen to represent QND at all choral events plus corporate parties and other social gatherings throughout the year. This group also meets after school hours. Vocal music at QND is alive and well! If you enjoy singing, the chorus is the place for you. We are always looking for enthusiastic young singers.
