QND Band New Trailer Initiative Reaches Goal

We have met our goal to raise $10,000 toward the purchase of a new 20 foot trailer!

A trailer this size will help haul the equipment needed for marching events, jazz events, performances at the Veterans Home, plus countless others.  With a minimum donation of $100, donors had the option of receiving one of the vintage band uniforms.

The Quincy Notre Dame Band continues to play an integral part of QND’s culture. The band is 54 members strong this year.  Today we continue the great legacy of Carl Landrum, Pam Potter and countless others.  The band performs at all home basketball and football games, especially the Homecoming events, as well as pep assemblies for the many teams that go to State Tournaments each year.  The band also participates in several parades each fall and jazz competitions each spring.  The band continues to support the Veterans of Quincy and Adams County by performing in the Veterans Day Parade and the Veterans Day ceremony at the Illinois Veterans Home.

With all of these activities, we are excited to announce we have ordered new uniforms for this fall. Our goal is to keep the band looking clean, sharp, and modern.  Through the growth we have experienced and the additional venues we have added to our yearly calendar promoting QND, we find ourselves needing help with transporting the equipment easily and safely to and from all of the above events.

Thank you on behalf of the QND family for your generosity and help with this endeavor!
