QND Drama Club
The QND Drama Club is a new and exciting addition to campus life which began during the 2024-25 school year. The club was created to offer students even more opportunities to explore their interests and talents, beyond academics and athletics.
Drama Club is led by Director Joshua Crowl and Assistant Director Jill Steinkamp. More than 20 students are involved, and participation is open to all. Whether students are interested in acting, stage or tech crew, set and costume design, or prop management, the drama club provides a space for every student to contribute.
“Participation in the drama club offers students more than just fun on stage,” shares Director Josh Crowl. “Students develop public speaking skills, learn how to create and embody a character, and gain valuable acting experience, all while building confidence and teamwork abilities.”
Students are already experiencing these benefits firsthand. Laura Craig '26 shared that what began as “something unserious and a fun way to spend my time” has grown into a meaningful part of her QND experience. She loves that drama club allows her to spend time with friends while creating something they can proudly share, adding that the club is a place where she can “be myself, even while acting as another person.”
The club meets weekly and plans are to produce two shows each school year, one in the fall and one in the spring. The club’s inaugural production, Cafe Murder, was staged in the spring of 2025, and their second show, Freaky Tiki, took place in December 2025.
The QND Drama Club continues to grow as a creative outlet for students, providing a welcoming space where they can explore their talents, collaborate with peers, and shine both on and off the stage.
